Coals put out of barges and boat for private individuals at any place other than a Wharf should have a note in writing specifying details.
Carpenter’s boat out of order – to be repaired.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 17th day of November 1847
Present: M^r Hen^y Sikes, M^r Fred^k Eycott, J H Warman, Rich^d Martin, Will^m Fryer, T C Croome, G H A Beard, W^m J Wood, Jn^o Holbrow Chairman.
Ordered that in future when Coals are put out of Barges and Boats for private Individuals at any other place than a Wharg a Note in writing be obtained by the Captain from the person buying the coals specifying the quantity received and the place where put out and such note be brought to M^r Hawker, without which no Vessel shall be cleared out.
M^r Driver reported that the Carpenter's Boat was out of condition.
Ordered that the same be repaired.
A Bill of Fees having been sent if from Mess^rs Wathen & Bassett & Gurney for a Fee to Counsel and Agents charges in January 1845,
Ordered that an explanation of this be asked for as two subsequent Bills appear to have been paid to M^r Wathen.
