At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 18th day of April 1849
Present: M^r Hen^y Sikes, M^r Cha^s Hooper, Fred^k Eycott, Will^m Fryer, J H Warman. T C Croome, C H Fisher, Rich^d Martin, G H^y A Beard Chairman.
M^r Cooper the Auditor attended and stated that he had examined all the Books and Vouchers and found every Item to be correct and the Books and Accounts were produced to this Meeting so audited.
Ordered that a Deal Baulk be bought as recommended by M^r Driver for planking and repairing the Lock Gates near the Paper Mill Lock at Whitminster.
Ordered that the Annual Stoppage of this Navigation do commence on Monday May 28th and end on Saturday June 2nd both days inclusive.
Ordered that M^r Driver do employ as many men to mud the Canal during the stoppage will be able to remove sufficient Mud to fill every place upon which he can obtain permission to deposit such Mud.
