Thomas Turner and John Williams claimed shares nos.193,194,130,132, will of Henry Sikes.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday The 19th day of February 1851
Present: M^r Jn^o H Warman, M^r Cha^S H Fisher, G H A Beard, Tho^s C Croome Chairman, Fred^k Eycott, Hen^y Harris.
M^r Cha^s Hawker of Wallbridge attended on behalf of Thomas Turner Esq^re & Jn^o Will^m Wilton Esq^re both of the City of Glocester Executors of the late Henry Sikes of the City of Glocester deceased and made out their claim as Executors of the said Henry Sikes deceased to Four Shares N^os 193, 194, 130 & 132 of the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation lately belonging to and now standing in the name of the said Henry Sikes deceased in the books of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation by producing the probate of the Will of the said Henry Sikes deceased bearing date the 7th January 1848 whereby he appointed the said Thomas Turner & John William Wilton Executors of the said Will which was duly proved by the said Thomas Turner & John William Wilton in the Consistory Court of the Lord Bishop of Glocester & Bristol on December 11th 1850 and also by producing the original Tickets or Titles to the Shares N^os 130 & 132 and also a Declaration by the said Thomas Turner that two of the said four Titles or Tickts were lost or mislaid and the Claim of the said Thomas Turner & John William Wilton as Executors as aforesaid to the same Four Shares is admitted accordingly and the Clerk is authorised to make out new Tickets to the said Thomas Turner and John William Wilton as Executors accordingly.
M^r Hawker reported that since the last Meeting of the Committee the Property & Income Tax had been demanded and payment required before today and he had therefore paid it out of the Cash in hand.
Resolved that such payment be adopted and approved.
Ordered that the following Bills and Accounts be paid:
