The auditor, Mr Cooper, has examined the books.
No deeds belonging to the company found in Mrs Mansfield’s papers or at the Clerk of the Peace for the county.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 19th day of October 1851
Present: M^R C H Fisher Chairman, M^r Croome, M^R Warman, M^r Eycott, M^r Hooper, M^r Martin, M^r Fryer, M^r Beard, M^r Harris.
M^r Cooper the auditor attended & stated that he had Examined all the Books & Vouchers & found Every item correct.
The Treasurers Book was produced Examined & signed.
M^r Croome reported that he had instructed M^r Little to search among M^rs Mansfields deeds & papers for any documents belonging to this Company -- that M^r Little had done son but had not found any papers of importance.
M^r Croome also reported that he had inquired and initiated a search at the office of the Clerk of the Peace for the County for any papers in his possession but without success.
