Her Majesty’s Customs to be asked for an order to permit vessels from foreign ports to be brought up the canal to discharge their cargoes.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 15^th day of June 1858
Present: M^r Cha^s Hawker, M^r T C Croome Chairman, J H Warman, H^y Harris, W^m Fryer, C Hooper, N S Marling.
M^r Ford having applied to the Committee to make an application to the Officers of Her Majesty's Customs for an order to permit vessels from foreign Ports to be brought up this Canal and to discharge their cargoes on the banks of the Canal,
Resolved that such application be made & that M^r Partridge be authorized to sign the Letter.
Ordered that the following Bills and Accounts be paid viz;
