Summary

Special General Meeting.
Additions to Byelaws of Navigation, namely: if any goods remain upon any wharf or wharfs, in landing places belonging to Navigation, for three clear days, Sundays excepted, the owner or reported owner of goods shall forfeit and pay sum of 2s 6d per day for every day goods remain after notice in writing given to remove goods.
The usual dinner after half yearly meetings is to be discontinued.

At a Special General Meeting of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 20^th day of December 1859 to Supply a Vacancy in the Committee and also to make an additional Bye-Law relative to Goods left on the Company's Wharves and for general purposes
Present: M^r Lacy Chairman, M^r Marling, M^r Hooper, M^r Croome, M^r Eycott, M^r Warman, M^r Harris, M^r Hawker, M^r Beard.
A Vacancy having occurred in the Committee by the circumstance of M^r Eycott not having attended for three months consecutively and M^r Eycott having offered himself for re-Election, Resolved that he be and he is hereby re-Elected accordingly.
Resolved that the following be added to and hereafter form part of the Bye Laws of this Navigation namely:
That if any goods whatever, whether caused or intended to be carried on the Navigation, or not, shall remain upon any Wharf or Wharfs, or landing places belonging to the said Navigation for the space of three clear days (Sundays Excepted) the owner or reported owner of such goods shall forfeit and pay the sum of Two shillings and Six pence per day for Every day such goods shall remain after notice in writing shall have been given by the said Company of Proprietors or their Agent to the owner or reported owner of such goods to remove the same, or shall have been left on some conspicuous spot where such goods are lying.
and the Common Seal of the Company be affixed to such Bye Law.
Resolved that the usual dinner after the half yearly Meetings be discontinued in future.
