Letter from Clerk of Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Co proposing to exchange a piece of their land on north side of Stroudwater Navigation near the junction of two canals containing 3 rood 8 perch, for two pieces of land belonging to the Stroudwater Navigation also on north side, containing 2 rood 20 perch, accompanied by a plan. Resolved that a draft of proposed deed of exchange be forwarded. Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Co to bear expense of exchange.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 20^th day of November 1860
Present: M^r J H Warman, M^r C Hooper Chairman, F Eycott, T M Croome, C Hawker.
M^r William John Gregory of Cirencester in the County of Gloucester Gentleman attended on behalf of Margarette Mullings of Eastcourt House in the Parish of Crudwill in the County of Wilts Widow and made out her Claim as Executrix under the Will of the late Joseph Randolph Mullings of Eastcourt House aforesaid Esq^r deceased to one Share Number 154 of the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation lately belonging to and now standing in the name of the said Jos^h R Mullings deceased in the books of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation by producing the Probate of the Will of the said Jos^h R Mullings deceased bearing date the 30^th day of September 1859 and proved in the principal Registry of her Majesty's Court of Probate on the 20^th day of December 1859 and also producing the said Ticket or Title to the said Share and the Claim was admitted accordingly and a new Ticket ordered to be made out.
A Letter dated 8^th November 1860 having been received by our Clerk from the Clerk of the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Company proposing the exchange of a piece of land belonging to the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal C^o on the North side of the Stroudwater Navigation near the Junction of the two Canals containing 3 R 8 P for two pieces of land belonging to the Stroudwater Navigation containing together 2 R 20 and such letter being accompanied by a Plan showing the said pieces of land and the quantities thereof and such Exchange being considered advantageous to this Company,
Resolved that the same be carried into effect and that the Clerk of the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal be requested to forward to this C^o a Draft of the proposed Deed of Exchange it being understood that the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal C^o are to bear the expenses of the said Exchange.
