At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held on board the Company's Boat in Wednesday the 14^th day of August 1861
Present: Capt^n C H Fisher, M^r H Harris Chairman, M^r C Hawker, T Marling, C Hooper, F Eycott, J H Warman, T M Croome, G H A Beard, H H Wilton.
The Committee commenced the annual Tour of Inspection at Wallbridge and proceeded down the Canal.
The buildings and works at the different Wharfs were found to be in good order and the new Lock Gates which had been put in at the Double Locks and elsewhere during the past year in good working condition. The part of the wing wall on the North side of the entrance of the Canal from the Severn at Framilode which had been ordered by the Minute of 25^th April last to be repaired was inspected and appeared to be done in a proper and substantial manner and the wall on the South side of the entrance which had been re-erected with stone in the place of wood was also found to have been well built and in good order.
The works of the Canal generally appeared to be in good condition and to have been properly attended to by the Surveyor.
