General Half Yearly Meeting.
Tonnage since 1 April £2130 16s. After wages, etc, £1360 18s 6d. Dividend of £6 15s declared.
Mr Knee to pay rent of £25 per annum for house at Wallbridge.
2 new houses at Downfield to be advertised to be let.
At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Thursday the 27^th day of October 1864
M^r Sam^l Phipps in the Chair.
The Minutes of the Committee since the last General Assembly were read approved and confirmed.
The several Books and Accounts were produced as directed by the Act of Parliament and were examined and passed.
It appears that the sum of £2130..16..- has been received for Tonnage from the 1^st day of April 1864 to the 1^st day of October 1864 part of which has been applied toward the payment of Wages disbursement, etc there remains in the hands of the Treasurer after paying the last Dividend the sum of £1360..18..6.
Ordered that a Dividend of £6..15..0 on each share be declared payable on the 1^st day of November next free of Income Tax.
It was proposed by M^r Thornton and seconded by M^r Phipps that M^r Knee should pay a rent of £25 per annum for the House at Wallbridge.
Resolved that this Rent shall be charged from the 25^th of March next & that the Clerk shall give M^r Knee notice to this effect.
It was resolved that the 2 new houses at Downfield shall be advertized to be let. Applications to Mess^rs Warman & Son.
