Half Yearly General Meeting. Tonnage £1404 8s. Balance after wages, etc, £1279 7s. Dividend of £4 declared.
Resolved that we feel it our duty at this important crisis to use our utmost exertions in defence of our country, and therefore would make to his Majesty in case of Invasion a respectful tender of the use of our canal tonnage free and also of our vessels and servants, which offer, our Chairman is requested to convey to the Lord Lieutenant.

The Minutes of the last General Meeting were Read and Confirmed
The several Books and Accounts were produced
respecting the Affairs of the Company as directed by the Act of Parliament and examiined and Confirmed.
It appears by the Accounts that the Sum of £1404-8 has been recieved for Tonnage & from the 12^th of April last to this day, a part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, Disbursements & there remains in the Treasurers hands after paying the last Dividend the sum of £1279-7^s~~~ Ordered that a Dividend of £4 be made on each Share to be paid by the Treasurer on the1^st of November next, and that our Clerk do transmit Circular Letter to all the Proprietors to inform them they may draw upon the Treasurer or apply to him for payment of the same.
