Summary

Half Yearly General Meeting. Tonnage £2074 3s 8d. Balance after wages, etc, £2010 7s 8d. Dividend of £8 declared.
Thames & Severn Canal Company declined to abide by their former proposal of paying half the expense of making a culvert at Wallbridge. The committee are therefore hereby directed to take such steps as may be necessary to obtain redress.

At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 8^th of April 1806
Samuel Wathen in the Chair.
The Minutes of the last General Meeting were Read and Confirm'd.
The several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the Affairs of the Company as Directed by the Act of Parliament and Examined and Confirmed.
It appears by the Accounts that the Sum of £2074..3^s..8^d has been received for Tonnages etc from the 8th of October last to this day, a part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, Disbursements etc, there remains in the Treasurers hands after paying the last Dividend the sum of £2010..7^s...8^d
Ordered that a Dividend of £8.. on each Share be paid by the Treasurer on the first day May next and that our clerk do transmitt Circular Letters to all the Proprietors to inform them they may draw upon the Treasurer or apply to him for payment of the same, but in case the distant Proprietors shall prefer a remittance for their Dividend it must be considered to be at their own risk.
The Committee reports that they had receiv'd a communication from the Committee of the Thames and Severn Canal Company in which they decline abiding by their former proposal of paying half the expence of makeing a Culvert at Walbridge. The Committee are therefore hereby directed to take such steps as may be necessary to obtain redress.
