Summary

Mr Barker, proprietor of the vessel which had been navigating with sails in defiance of the byelaw, having stated such proceeding was without his knowledge or consent, ordered that the prosecution against William Rowley and others be discontinued .
Stephen Dangerfield, who has been convicted in the penalty of £5 for an offence against a byelaw of the Company, having expressed contrition for the same the fine to be remitted to him.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroud water Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Monday the 11^th April 1808 Present, Samuel Wathen, Rowles Scudamore, James Tyers,, W^m Stanton, Benj^n Grazebrook, Nath Janes, Jos^h Grazebrook, Sir Sam^l Wathen.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting M^r Baker proprietor of the Vessell which had been navigated with sails in defiance of the Bye Law of the Company having stated that such proceeding was without his knowledge or consent. Ordered that prosecution against W^m Rowley and others be discontinued . Stephen Dangerfield who has been convicted in the penalty of Five Pounds for an Offence against a Bye Law of the Company, having expressed contrition for the same, Ordered that the fine be remitted to him.
Ordered that a Bill be drawn on the Treasurerfor the Sum of Two Hundred ninety four Pounds eleven Shillings and seven pence halfpenny for the use of the Navigation
