Half Yearly General Meeting. Tonnage £1929 12s 10½. Balance after wages, etc, £1567 14s 1d. Dividend of £7 10s declared.
At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroud water Navigation held at the George Inn at Stroud on Tuesday the 11^th of October 1808

The Minutes of the last General Meeting were Read and Confirmed. The several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the Affairs of the Company as directed by the Act of Parliament & examined and Confirmed.
.It appears by the Accounts that the Sum of £1920.. 12^s.. 101/2^d has been received for Tonnage from the 12^th of April last to this day, a part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, Disbursements etc, there remains in the Treasurers hands, after paying the last Dividend, and the Sum of £160 for Property Tax the Sum of £1567..14^s..1^d. Ordered that a Dividend of £7..10^s on each Share be paid by the Treasurer on the first day of November and that our Clerk do transmit a Circular Letter to all the Proprietors to inform them they may draw upon the treasurer or apply to him for payment of the same
