At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 9^th of October 1810
Sam^l Wathen Esq^r in the Chair.
The Minutes of the last General Meeting were Read and Confirmed,
The several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the Affairs of the Company as directed by the Act of Parliament, examined and Confirmed.
It appears by the Accounts that the Sum of £1297..5..10½ has been received for Tonnage from the 10^th of April last to this day, a part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, Disburstments, etc, there remains in the Treasurers Hands after paying the last Dividend, with the addition of £100...-..- added to the Coal Trade, the Sum of £864..5..11½.
Ordered that a Dividend of £4..-..- on each Share be paid by the Treasurer of the first day of November next, and that our Clerk do transmit Circular Letters to all the Proprietors to inform them that they may draw upon the Treasurer of apply to him for payment of the same.
Resolved that from this time the Tonnage on Fir Wood be raised to 3/6 per Ton from Walbridge and so in proportion to other places on the Canal.
