John Wild, of owner Thomas Ball’s vessel, having given a false account of his tonnage by entering 6 tons instead of 10 tons, the next time the vessel enters the Navigation she is to be detained until the penalty of 40s per ton be paid.
Thomas Beard is to stop and detain all vessels that shall navigate the Stroudwater Canal without the name on.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee room at Walbridge on Tuesday the Twenty fifth Aug^t 1812
Present: Ja^s Tyers, John Snowden, Jos^h Grazebrook, Nath^l Jones, Alexander Townsend, Tho^s Carruthers.

John Wild of Owner Tho^s Balls Vessel having given a false account of his Tonnage by entering 6 Tons instead of 10 Tons, Ordered that the next time the said Vessel enters the Navigation she be detained untill the penalty of 40^s per Ton be paid agreeable to Act of Parliament. ~~~ Ordered that Tho^s Beard have instructions to stop and detain all Vessels that shall Navigate the Stroudwater Canal without the name of each Vessel being thereon according to Act of Parliament page 106.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Monday the 12^th of October next at two o'Clock in the Afternoon at the Committee room at Walbridge.
