Summary

Half Yearly General Meeting. Tonnage £2459 6s 1d. Balance after wages, etc, £1965 5s 6½d. Dividend of £9 15s declared.
The committee requested to have the house occupied by their lock keeper Thomas Beard repaired or to have a new one built.
In response to Thames & Severn Canal Company request to lower the tonnage upon all pig, bar and cast iron and copper passing the Stroudwater Canal from Framilode to or before Reading, agreed that the tonnage be lowered to the sum of 1d per ton per mile provided the Thames & Severn Company reduce their tonnage in the same proportion.
Committee authorised to allow a drawback of 6d per ton upon coals (except coals for malting and coke) passing the Stroudwater Canal into the River Thames to or below Radcot, the Committee taking care that the persons carrying the coals entitled to such drawback produce a sufficient document that the coals are ‘bona fide’ passing to or below Radcot.
Mr Hains’ salary to be raised to £120 per annum.

At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 12^th of April 1814
William Stanton Esq^r in the Chair.
The Minutes of the last General Meeting were Read and Confirmed.
The several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the Affairs of the Company as directed by the Act of Parliament Examined and Confirmed.
It appears by the Accounts that the Sum of £2439..16..1 had been received from Tonnage, etc, from the 12^th of October last to this day, a part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, Disburstments, etc, there remains in the Treasurers hands after paying the last Dividend and the Sumof £133..8^s for Property Tax the Sum of £1965..5^s..6½.^d. Ordered that a Dividend of £9..15^s on each Share be paid by the Treasurer on the second day of May next and that our Clerk do transmit Circular Letters to all the Proprietors to inform them that they may draw upon the Treasurer or apply to him for payment of the same.
Ordered that the Committee be requested to have the House occupied by their Lockkeeper Thomas Beard repaired or to have a new one built.
An application having been made by the Committee of the Thames & Severn Canal to lower the Tonnage upon all Pic Bar & Cast Iron and Copper passing the Stroudwater Canal from Framiload to or before Reading, Ordered that the Tonnage be lowered to the Sum of one penny per Ton per Mile provided the Thames & Severn Canal Company reduce their Tonnage in the same proportion.
Ordered that the Committee be authorised to allow a drawback of sixpence per Ton upon Coals, except Coals for Malting and Coke, passing the Stroudwater Canal into the River Thames or below Radcott, the Committee taking care that the Persons carrying the Coals entitled to such drawback produce a sufficient document that the Coals are "bona" fide passing to or below Radcott.
The following Gentlemen are appointed a Committee for the following year, Viz:
James Tyers, Rowles Scuadamore, Joseph Grazebrook, Tho^s Holbrow, Henry Eycott, Nath^l Jones, Tho^s Carruthers, Jn^o Holbrow, Jn^o Morgan, Jn^o Snowden, P H Fisher, Rich^d Miller, W^m Stanton.
On application of M^r Hains it was resolved to advance his Sallary from One Hundred Pounds to One Hundred and Twenty pounds per annum.
