Summary

Annual inspection on board the Company's Barge.
The weir at Nassfield Lock is to be removed and a new one made to commence as near the head of the lock and empty itself by means of a culvert into the canal as near the lower part of the lock as it can be effected.
The statement of the total annual expenditure of the canal to be given in at the next meeting is to include the names of the clerks and servants with their respective salaries, wages and employments, and also an account of wages paid to additional labourers.
Two or more catchpools to be made in the ditch leading from Ebley into the canal at the bridge near Mr Pettat’s for preventing the soil passing into the canal, and that the servant whose duty it is to attend on that level do remove the soil thereon collected whenever it may be necessary.
The wall at the tail of Dudbridge lock be repaired.
The Company’s boat to be graved.
The order for removing the sprout at Mr Hill’s cottage near Stonehouse Bridge be immediately enforced.
The part of the wall of the Ryeford Bridge now supported by props be repaired.
The lock at Wheatenhurst to be repaired during a neap and the proper notice be given.
Mr Harris to be asked to send two hampers of port and one of sherry.
Mr Cambridge to be desired to secure the banks of the canal which he has cut through in order to make a weir.
It appeared that the materials of the house occupied by John Longney could be used in building a house for the lock keeper when possession of Longney's house has been obtained. Notice to be given to John Longney to quit the house by Lady Day.
Ordered that John Rose be dismissed with one month’s notice.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held on Board the Companys Barge at Walbridge on Thursday the 19^th of May 1814
Present: P H Fisher, Jn^o Holbrow, Tho^s Holbrow, Henry Eycott, Jn^o Snowden, Tho^s Carruthers, Rich^d Miller, Jn^o Morgan.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Ordered that the Weir at Nastfield Lock be removed and a new on e made to commence as near the head of the Lock and empty itself by means of a Culvert into the Canal so near the lower part of the Lock as it can be effected. That a Statement of the total annual expenditure of the Canal be given at the next meeting specifying the Names of the Clerks, and Servants with their respective Salaries, Wages and employments and also an account of the Wages paid to additional Labourers.
That two more Catch pools be immediately made in the Ditch leading from Ebley into the Canal at the Bridges near M^rs Pettats for preventing the soil passing into the Canal, and that the servant whose duty it is to attend to that level do remove the soil thereon collected, whenever it may be necessary.
That the Wall at the tail of Dudbridge Lock be repaired. That the Companys Boat be greaved.
That the Order for removing the sprout at M^r Hills Cottage near Stonehouse Bridge be immediately inforced and that our Clerk attend to the same.
That the part of the Wall of the Ryeford Bridge now supported by props be repaired. That the Lock at Wheatenhurst be repaired during a Neap & a proper notice be given. That M^r Eycott be requested to write to M^r Harris to send two Hampers of Port and one of Sherry Wine. That M^r Cambridge be desired to secure the Banks of the Canal which he has cut through in order to make a Weir, and that M^r Hains write to him on that effect.
It appearing to the Committee that the materials of the House occupied by Jn^o Longney could be applied to advantage in building a House for the Lockkeeper,
Ordered that the building of such house be deferred untill possession of the Longney House be obtained.
Ordered that immediate notice be given to John Longney to quit the possession of the House he occupies at Lady day next, or when his taking expires. Ordered that John Rose be dismissed from his situation as servant to the Company, giving him one Months notice from Saturday next.
Adjourned this Meeting to Monday the sixth of June next at five o'Clock in the Afternoon at the Committee room at Walbridge.
