Summary

Thomas Beard, the lockkeeper at Framilode, has omitted to make returns of and pay over to the Clerk various forms of money received by him for tonnage. He also confessed to receipt of certain other forms of money which has never been put in the company accounts. Thomas Beard to be dismissed and notice given to quit Company house.
Ambrose Beard, the lockkeeper at Bristol Road, given notice to quit his Company House.
A person to be sent to Framilode pro tempora to attend the lock

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Tuesday the 7^th day of June 1814
Present: Henry Eycott, P H Fisher, Thomas Carruthers, Nathaniel Jones, John Snowden, John Holbrow, Thomas Holbrow.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
It appearing on examination that Thomas Beard the Lockkeeper at Framilode has omitted to make returns of and pay such to the Clerk various Sums of Money received by him for Tonage:- and he having confessed the receipt of a certain other Sum of Money which has never been placed to the Company's account -- Resolved that the said Thomas Beard be dismissed from the Company's Service.
Resolved that Notice be given him of the same, and also to quit the House in which he resides, belonging to the Company.
Resolved that Notice be given to Ambrose Beard the Lockkeeper at Bristol Road to quit the House he occupies of the Company.
Resolved that a proper person be sent to Framilode to attend the Lock there, pro tempora.
Adjourned this Meeting to Friday the 10^th June 1814 at 5 o'clock in the afternoon at the Committee Room at Walbridge.
