At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroud Water Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 29^th March 1815
Present: R Scudamore, Henry Eycott, Tho Carruthers, Tho Holbrow, John Holbrow, J Tyers, John Morga, R Miller, W^m Stanton.
Read the minutes of the last Meeting.
M^r John R Denyer attended on behalf of Lancelot Chambers of Morden in the County of Surry Esq^r and made out his Claim to five Shares N^os 160, 161, 164, 165, 133 with Stroudwater Navigation late the property of Sophia Chambers late of Morden in the aforesaid County deceased, by producing the probate of the Will of the said Sophia Chambers bearing date the 5^th day of January 1807 and duly proved in the perogative Court of the ArchBishop of Canterbury the 14^th day of April 1809,
Ordered that William Beard be desired to examine the Roof of the House in which Purcell lives & report whether it be in a Secure State.
Ordered that William Purcell be allowed to Rent the Parcel of Ground on the left Bank of the Canal at Framiload, at the yearly Rent of thirty Shillings, upon condition that should the Company want the land, Timber, Stone, etc, for repairing the Lock or any other purpose, that they reserve the right to do so.
Resolved that this Meeting be adjourned to Monday the 10^th day of April next.
