At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Monday the 10^th of April 1815
Present: John Snowden, John Holbrow, Rowles Scudamore, Thos^s Carruthers, Thomas Holbrow, P H Fisher, Henry Eycott, W^m Stanton.
Read the minutes of the last Meeting.
It appearing that the Turnpike Gate at the entrance of the Bristol Road Wharf is extremely prejudicial to the interest of the Proprietors,
Resolved that our Clerk shall write a Letter to the Commissioners of the Southgate district for the Turnpike on the Gloster Road to Bristol acquainting them that unless the Turnpike in question be Removed the full Tonnage of all Stone Landed at the Bristol Road Wharf shall be charged instead of the present charge of 8^d per Ton.
