Samuel Hanman to be engaged as Carpenter for a 3 month trial period.
Plates of iron to be used instead of wood planking for the new Upper Lock gates to be erected at Whitminster, and at the five locks on the canal.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 26^th March 1816
Present: M^r Tho^s Holbrow, John Holbrow, P H Fisher, H R Scudamore, Rich^d Miller, W^m Stanton, Jos Jones.
Ordered that Samuel Hanman be engaged as Carpenter to the Company on trial for the period of three Months.
Ordered that Plates of Iron be provided and made use of instead of Wood planking on the new upper Lock Gates to be erected at Whitminster and at the five Locks in this Canal.
Adjourned this Meeting to Monday the Eigth of April next.
