A letter from Mr Clissold requesting compensation for mud on his land to be put on file but not responded to.
Mr Clissold to be requested to repair towpath near his mill.
Mr Snowden and Mr Eycott to meet with Mr Clissold to ascertain the boundary between the Company land and Mr Clissold’s millpond at Ebley.
A Committee meeting to be held with Mr Miller to discuss the contract for cleaning the canal and particularly the machine and boat used for this purpose.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Tuesday the 27^th Day of May 1817
Present: M^r Morgan, M^r Nath^l Jones, M^r Miller, The Rev J Jones, M^R Tho Holbrow, M^r Eycott, M^r Geo Wathen, M^r John Holbrow.

A Letter from M^r Clissold was produced respecting the Company's depositing the Mud from the Canal on M^r Clissold's Land near Ebley. Ordered that the said Letter be copied in this Book for the Committee to refer to at any future time & that no reply be made to M^r Clissold's Letter. Copy of M^r Clissold's Letter dated the 20^th May 1817. "Sir, I am informed the Mud from the Canal is putting out on my Land without any authority from me. I hereby give notice not to have any more put out and that I shall seek redress for the damages already done to me thereby" S C
Order'd that our Clerk do require of M^r Clissold to repair the Company's Towing path near M^r Clissold's Mill and that He do apply immediately to M^r Clissold for that purpose.
Ordered that M^r Snowden and M^r Eycott be requested to propose to M^r Clissold to fix a time with them to ascertain the Boundaries of the Companys Land between the Canal and Mr Clissold's Millpond at Ebley, some doubts being entertained as to the extent of the same, and that the said M^r Snowden and M^r Eycott do offer any Evidence to the said M^r Clissold on the subject they may think advisable the better to ascertain the same.
Ordered that a Meeting of the Committee be called in order to take into consideration the Contract for cleansing the Canal with M^r Miller, and particularly the machine and Boat now used for cleansing the Canal.
Resolved that the Committee do go down the Canal in the Company's Barge for the purpose of surveying the same on Wednesday the 11^th day of June next at 8 O'Clock in the forenoon.
