Special Meeting. The bridge over the brook at Ryeford to be repaired, by under building and repairing rail to make it safe for pedestrians, by William Blackwell overseen by our Clerks. Mr Eycott thanked for the trouble he had taken sorting this problem.
At a Special Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 16^th day of September 1817
Present: The Rev^d Jos Jones, John Holbrow, Nath Jones, John Morgan, Tho^s Holbrow, Henry Eycott, Rowles Scudamore.
Read the minutes of the last Meeting.
Resolved that the (?) of the Bridge over the Brook at the Ryeford be repaired and properly secured by underbuilding, and that good and sufficient Timber as a support to the railing be affixed to the upper part of the said Bridge, in order that foot passengers may be accommodated in the same manner as they have been heretofore. That William Blackwell be employed as a Mason and that our Clerk Do give the necessary directions for the immediate reparation of the Bridge upon the aforesaid Plan.
That the thanks of the Committee be given to M^r Eycott for the trouble he has taken in furthering the settlement of this business and that He be requested to superintend during the reparation of the Bridge.
