A small house (12ft square) to be erected at Stonehouse Cross Wharf for a person to sell coals for the Company and to look after the tonnage and wharfage. Mr Eycott to oversee this.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 25 day of November 1817
Present: The Rev J Jones, W^m Stanton, Rowles Scudamore, Henry Eycott, John Morgan, Geo Wathen.
Read the minutes of the last meeting.
Examined the Books and Accounts of the Company.
It appearing to the Committee that it is advisable to erect a small House abut 12 feet square at Stonehouse Cross Wharf for the purpose of placing a Person there to sell Coals for the Company and to look after the Tonnage & Wharfage of the said Wharf & M^r Eycott having been kind enough to say that He will inspect the building of the same, Order'd that such building be immediately erected under his superintendance.
Adjourned this Meeting to Tuesday the 6^th day of January 1818.
