Summary

Mr Cambridge raised his concerns re the adequacy of the culvert at Kings Bridge due to work being carried out by the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal. The Clerk to write to the company referring to their obligation under the Act for the building of the canal to provide a sufficient culvert.
Thomas Clark chosen as a servant to the Company for the sale of coal at the Wharf at Stonehouse and to live in the house recently built.
A warehouse to be built at Dudbridge Wharf to be built 32 ft long, 16ft wide and 10ft high. The estimate received from William Blackwell approved.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 28^th day of July 1818
Present: Richard Miller, P H Fisher, Nath^l Jones, John Holbrow, Rev J Jones, John Morgan, W W Darke, Henry Eycott.
Read the minutes of the last Meeting.
M^r Cambridge of Whitminster having made application to the Committee on the insufficiency of the Culvert near Kings Bridge, & having informed them that the Undertaker of the Gloster & Berkeley Canal has disclaimed all obligation on his part to make a new and enlarged Culvert near Kings Bridge under the Stroudwater Canal, when the Banks thereof shall be raised by the G&B Canal C^o, Ordered that our Clerk do write a letter to the G&B Canal Company's Clerk, calling the Committee's attention to the Clause for draining Lands and making Culverts for that purpose which is found in the Act for making the G&B Canal (37 GIII 1797 pages 16 & seq^s) and requesting that a sufficient Culvert be made at the place aforesaid.
Ordered that Thomas Clark of Stonehouse be chosen as the Servant of the Company of Proprietors for selling Coals at the Wharf at Stonehouse & to reside in the House there lately erected.
Ordered that the Warehouse to be build at Dudbridge wharf be of the following proportions: 32 Feet long, 16 feet wide & 10 Feet high, & that the Estimate delivered in by William Blackwell for building the Walls of the same at 8^S/6^d per Perch be approved.
