Summary

As estimates of the cost of providing an aqueduct of iron or stone near Lockham Bridge being very considerable, such plan be suspended and that in lieu thereof the trunks of the present aqueduct be repaired and one or more wooden trunks added to the same for the purpose of carrying off the water of the stream with greater rapidity.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Tuesday the 5^th day of January 1819
Present:
Read the minutes of the last Meeting.
Estimates having been laid before the Committee of the probable & relative Expences of putting down a new Aqueduct (of Iron or Stone) near Lockham Bridge, in pursuance with the Order of the last Committee in that respect; and the same Estimates being very considerable in amount and appearing to require further consideration before the same be carried into effect, Order'd that the completion of such Acqueduct in the Manner intended be for the present suspended, and that in lieu thereof the Trunks of the present Aqueduct be repaired, & one or more Woodden Trunks added o the same for the purpose of carrying off the Water of the Stream with greater capacity, as soon as the same can be conveniently effected.
