Summary

William Peel, husband of the late Sarah Peel, claimed share nos.1,128,185, will of Elizabeth Huntley.
The feeder at Lodgemore be repaired and made wider but on the same level as it is at present.
A letter be written to the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Co stating that the Committee of the Stroudwater will not allow any fixed salary to Robert Miles for examining the tickets of the vessels passing out of the G&B into the Stroudwater Navigation or consider him a servant of the Company in any respect, but are willing to make him a remuneration for his casual services.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Tuesday the first day of August 1820
PresentL Nath^l Jones, John Morgan, Rowles Scudamore, W W Darke MD, Thomas Holbrow, John Snowden, Henry Eycott.
Read the minutes of the last Meeting.
Examined the Books and Accounts of the Company,
W W Darke MD attended on behalf of W^m Veel of Alkerton in the County of Gloucester Esq^r the lawfull Hisband of the late Sarah Veel of Alkerton deceased, Sister and sole Executrix and residuary Legatee named and appointed in and by the last Will and Testament of Elizabeth Huntley late of Stroud in the County of Gloucester Spinster deceased, bearing date the 7^th day of August 1817 and duly proved inthe prerogative Court of the ArchBishop of Canterbury the 12^th day of May 1820, which probate was produced, And made out his claim to three Shares N^os 1, 128 & 185 in the Stroudwater Navigation, the property of the said Sarah Veel deceased, in and by virtue of the last Will & Testament of the said Sarah Veel deceased, and having produced Letters of Administration of the Goods, Chattels and credits of the said Sarah Veel (who died intestate) granted by the prerogative Court of the ArchBishop of Canterbury unto the said William Veel and bearing date the 12^th day of May 1820 whereby the said W^m Veel is become entitled to the said three Shares, and his claim is hereby admitted.
Ordered that the Feeder at Lodgemore be repaired & made wider, but on the same level as it is at present.
Ordered that a Letter be written to the Committee of the Gloster & Berkeley Canal C^o stating that the Committee of the Stroudwater Nav^n will not allow any fixed Salary to Robert Miles for examining the Tickets of Vessels passing out of the G&B Canal into the Stroudwater Navigation, or consider him their Servant in any respect, but are willing to make him a remuneration for his casual Services.
