At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Thursday the 6^th day of February 1823
Present: D^r Darke, M^r Jn^o Snowden, M^r Stanton, M^r John Holbrow, M^r Wilson, M^r Jones, M^r Grazebrook.
Examined the Books & Accounts of the Company.
M^r George Hawker attended on behalf of Susannah Capel of Prestbury in the County of Gloucester Widow, Joseph Watts of Stratford House in the Parish of Stroud in the County of Gloucester Esq^r & the Rev^d Christopher Capel of Clive in the County of Gloucester Clerk, three of the Executors of William Capel late of Prestbury in the County of Gloucester Esq^r deceased & made out their claim to six Shares N^os 146, 7, 120,. 62, 63 & 64 in the Stroudwater Navigation late the property of the said William Capel deceased, by producing the probate of the Will of the said W^m Capel bearing date the 19^th day of August 1817 & duly proved in the prerogative Court of the ArchBishop of Canterbury the 4^th day of February 1819. Whereby it appears that the said Susannah Capel, Widow the Relict of the said deceased, the said Joseph Watts & the Rev^d Christopher Capel are three of the Executors & administrators of the said Will & their Claim in hereby admitted accordingly.
