A wall to be built at Dudbridge Wharf near the crane about 90 feet long and 9 feet high, 3 feet thick at the bottom and 2½ feet at the top. Mr Coombs’s estimate being the lowest estimate he was employed to build it.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Thursday the 4^th September 1823
Present: M^r Jones, M^r Grazebrook, M^r Holbrow, M^r Watts, M^r Wilson, M^r Morgan.
Ordered that a Wall be built at Dudbridge Wharf near the Crane, the Wall to be about 90 feet long, 9 feet high, 3 feet think at the bottom, & 2½ at the top. Estimates having been given in by sundry Persons to execute the above, & M^r Coombe's being the lowest, Ordered that He be imployed to build the same,
