At a Special meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Monday the 6^th Sep^r 1824
Present: The Rev W James, M^r Jones, D^r Darke, M^r Grazebrook, M^r Fisher, M^r Snowden, M^r Morgan.
Ordered that M^r Snowden be requested to wait on M^r Croome & retain him (if M^r Croome will accept the appointment) as Solicitor for the Proprietors Of the Stroudwater Navigation for opposing the establishing of a Tramway lately projected from the Severn to Stroud or to & from some other points or places on or near the line of the said Navigation, and to instruct M^r Croome accordingly.
