At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Monday the 22nd November 1824
Present: M^r Jones, M^r Fisher, Rev^d M^r James, M^r Stanton, M^r Grazebrook, M^r Holbrow, D^r Darke.
A Letter having been received from Capt. Nicholls, on the part of the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Company, proposing a Meeting with certain Members of their Committee to confer on the Bill intended to be introduced by them in the next Session of parliament, and the mutual interest of the two Canals:
Ordered that Joseph Grazebrook, John Snowden, D^r Darke and Paul Hawkins Fisher be a deputation to meet the deputation of the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal on the above Subject on Wednesday next at the George Inn Stroud; and that this Meeting be adjourned to Thursday next at 11 o'clock to hear the report of our Deputation thereon.
