Present: Mr T C Croome, Mr P H Fisher, Mr Holborw, Dr Darke, Mr Wyatt, Mr S Fisher, Mr Grazebrook, Mr Geo. Wathen
The Culvert of Aqueduct under the Stroudwater Navigation over Ebley Mill's through which the Brook or River lately flowed to the old Mills (which Mills are now disused as Mills and part of the bed of the Brook between the said old Mills and the Aqueduct filled up) being out of repair and suffering the Water of the Navigation to escape into the Brook, -
Ordered that a Dam be made across the Stream or Brook at or near its entrance into the said Culvert or Aqueduct on its southwardside, - so as to prevent the water of the Navigation from flowing back over the same into the Brook; but so as not to prevent the due and sufficient flowing of Water from the Brook into the Culvert for the purpose of feeding the Navigation, as heretofore, from the northwardside thereof; - and for the use of the owners of the old Ebley Mills as now used by them, and other proprietors of the Land adjoining the said Brook; - which dam being to be made with the consent of the owner of Ebley Mills aforesaid, shall be removed by the Canal Company when its removal shall be necessary.
