Half Yearly General Meeting. Tonnage £3043 12s 11d. Balance after wages, etc, £2205 16s 6d. Dividend of £11 declared.
Mr Grazebrook to resign as Treasurer, thanks given for his services. Messrs Joseph Watts, Henry Wyatt, Edmund Gilling Hallewell and James Wason, Bankers of Stroud, appointed as treasurers.
New byelaw enacted to ensure correct use of the locks by boats and vessels, penalties to be put in place for non-compliance.
At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn Stroud on Wednesday the 27^th day of October 1830

The minutes of the last General Meeting were read and confirmed.
The several Books & accounts were produced respecting the affairs of the Company (as directed by Act of Parliament) and were examined & confirmed.
It appears by the accounts that the sum of £3043..12..11 has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the 17^th day of April last to the 17^th day of October 1830 a part of which has been applied towards the payment of wages disbursements, etc, and that there remains in the Treasurers hands (after paying the last dividend) the sum of £2205..16..6.
Ordered that a dividend of Eleven Pounds be paid on each share by the Treasurers on the first day of November next, and that our Clerk do transmit circular Letters to all the Proprietors to inform them that they may draw upon the Treasurers or apply to them for payment of the same.
M^r Grazebrook having this day signified his intention to resign the Office of Treasurer of this Company -- Resolved that this resignation be accepted accordingly -- and
That the Thanks of this Meeting be given to him for his important Services, and the repeated obligations which he has conferred on the Company; and that the Chairman do transmit to him a copy of this Resolution.
Ordered that Mess^rs Joseph Watt, Henry Wyatt, Edmund Gilling Hallewell and James Wason, Bankers of Stroud, be, and they are hereby appointed the Succeeding Treasurers -- And this meeting desired M^r Grazebrook to pay to them the Balance in his hands, and to take their discharge for the same.
Ordered and Exacted as a Bye Law for the good and orderly using of the Stroudwater Navigation, That if any Boat or other Vessel shall be passed into any lock upon the said Navigation without both the entrance Gates of such lock having been first opened, and being continued open during the passage of such Boat or other Vessel into such lock -- Or if any Boat or other Vessel shall be passed out of any Lock upon the said Navigation without both Gates of Exit of such Lock having been first opened, and being continued open during the passing of such Boat or other Vessel out of such Lock, every person offending in any of these particulars and being convicted thereof before any Justice of the peace upon the oath of one or more credible Witness or Witnesses as also the Master or Owner, Masters or Owners, of such Boat or other Vessel, shall for every such offence, forfeit and pay any Sum not exceeding Five pounds nor less than Forty shillings, to be fixed by the Magistrate before whom the penalty shall be sought to be recovered.
Ordered that our Clerk do affix the Common Seal of the Company to the above Byelaw.
