Half Yearly General Meeting. Tonnage £3581 11s 9d. Balance after wages, etc, £2844 15s 11d. Dividend of £14 declared.
Committee for next year: Dr Darke, Mr Grazebrook, Mr William Stanton, MrSnowden, Mr Wyatt, Mr Samuel Fisher, Mr Cosham, Mr Holbrow, Mr Wathen, Mr P H Fisher, Mr R Hawker, Mr J Fisher, Mr T C Croome.
Drawback allowed of one half of the present tonnage on all flour made from corn imported and paying the full toll.
Tonnage on Fullers Earth to be reduced to 2s 6d per ton.
At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn Stroud on Thursday the 28^th day of April 1831

The minutes of the last General Meeting were read & confirmed.
The several Books & accounts were produced respecting the Affairs of the Company (as directed by Act of Parliament) and were examined & confirmed.
It appears by the Accounts that the sum of £3581..11..9 has been received for Tonnage, etc, from the 17^th day of October last to the 17^th day of April Ins^t, a part of which has been applied towards the payment of wages, disbursments, etc, and that there remains in the Treasurers hands (after paying the last dividend) the sum of £2844..15..11.
Ordered that a dividend of fourteen Pounds be paid on each Share by the Treasurers on the 2nd day of May next, & that our Clerk do transmit circular Letters to all the Proprietors to inform them, that they may draw upon the Treasurers or apply to them for payment of the same.
The following Gentlemen are appointed as a Committee for the ensuing Year:

Ordered That a Drawback of one Half of the Present Tonnage be allowed on all Flour and other Produce of Corn carried down and exported from the Canal which Flour and other Produce of Corn shall have been made from Corn imported to and landed at one of the Wharfs of the Canal and have paid Tonnage thereon accordingly.
Ordered That the Tonnage on Fuller's Earth be reduced to Two Shillings and Sixpence per Ton on the whole Leng^h of the Canal and so proportionably for any less Distance
