At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Wednesday the 24^th Day of June 1840
Present: M^r Cosham, M^r Sam^l Fisher, M^r Holbrow, M^r Martin, M^r Croome, M^r Jos^h Fisher, M^r Wathen, M^r Beard, M^r P H Fisher, M^r Stanton, M^r F Eycott, M^r Hughes, M^r Wyatt.
Having opened and taken the particulars of the Offers received for the Office of Clerk to the Navigation (in number 57), and considered the same, It appears that about 11 of the applications are of a nature which require further consideration, before the same are submitted to the Special General meeting.
Ordered that the Committee do meet for that purpose on the third day of July next at 11 o'clock.
Ordered that a Special General Meeting of the proprietors be called in the usual manner to be held at the Committee Room Walbridge on Monday the 13^th July next at 11 o'clock.
