General Half Yearly Meeting. Tonnage since 1 October 1867 £1845 17s 1d. After wages, etc, profit of £1255 6s 5d. Dividend of £6 declared.
The box containing the Seal of the Company to be kept locked and that one of the three keys be kept by the Clerk, another with the Treasurer and the third by Mr Beard.

At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Company of Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Thursday the 23^d day of April 1868
M^r S Phipps in the Chair.
The Minutes of the Committee since the last General Assembly were read approved and confirmed.
The several books and accounts were produced as directed by Act of Parliament and were examined and passed.
It appear that the sum of £1845..17..4 has been received from the 1^st day of October to the 1^sd day of April part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages disbursement, etc, there remains in the hands of the Treasurer after paying the last Dividend the sum of £1255,,6,,5,
Ordered that a Dividend of Six pounds on each Share be declared payable on the 1^st day of May next free of Income Tax.
Resolved that the following Gentlemen shall form the Committee for the ensuing year:
Mess^rs Hooper, Hawker, Kearsey, Croome, Thornton, Phipps, C H Fisher, J T Fisher, Beard, Hallewell, T Marling and Wilton.
Resolved that the Box containing the Seal of the Company be in future kept locked and that one of the 3 keys shall be kept in the custody of the Clerk another in that of the Treasurer and the third in that of M^r Beard.
