Mr Peyton reported that George Clark, master of the wherry Packet, on 8 May veered his barge into the swing bridge at Stonehouse Ocean, incurring damage of 20s. The Clerk apply to him for the mitigated penalty of 10s.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 16^th day of June 1868
Present: M^r F S Thornton, S Phipps Chairman, J C Hallewell, J T FIsher,, G H A Beard, T M Croome.
Ordered that the Canal Inspection do take place on Thursday the 16^th day of July next on board the Boat -- the Boat to start from Wallbridge Wharf at 9 o'c.lock.
Ordered that all persons found fishing with a rod in the Canal belonging to this Company be prosecuted.
M^r Peyton reported that George Clark Master of the Wherry Packet did on the 8^th of May last veer his Barge into the the Swing Bridge at Stonehouse Ocean whereby a damage of 20^s/ has bee incurred.
Ordered that the Clerk apply to him for the mitigated Penalty of 10^s/.
