Summary

Mr Peyton reported that Mr Hooper had taken wool from Stonehouse Ocean to Bonds Mill. Resolved that in future Mr Hooper be charged 1d per ton.
The Surveyor’s offer to the Wheatenhurst Highway Board to charge them for a space of ground to land road stone at a rental of £2 p.a. at Stonehouse Wharf approved.
The present rate of 6d per ton on all coals carried on the canal to Eastington and there to Downfield be extended to Wallbridge so that a uniform rate of 6d per ton on coal be taken at Eastington and at parts of the canal eastward of that place. Ordered that that the Clerk send a copy of the above resolution to Mr Taunton as an answer to his letter of 5 April.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Tuesday the 17^th day of August 1869
Present: M^r T Marling, M^r G H A Beard Chairman. F S Thornton, S Phipps, J C Hallewell.
M^r Peyton reported that M^r Hooper has taken wool from Stonehouse Ocean to Bonds Mill.
Resolved that in future M^r Hooper be charge 1^d per Ton.
Resolved that the Surveyor's offer to the Wheatenhurst Highway Board to charge them for a space of ground to land Road Stone at a rental of £2 per annum at Stonehouse Wharf be approved.
It was also Resolved that the present rate of 6^d per ton on all coals carried on the Canal to Eastington, and from thence to Downfield, inclusiver, be extended to Wallbridge, so that a uniform rate of 6^d per ton on Coal be taken at Eastington and at all parts of the Canal Eastward of that place.
Ordered that the Clerk send a copy of the above Resolution to M^r Taunton as an answer to his letter of 5^th April.
