General Half Yearly Meeting. Tonnage since 1 April £1210 6s. After wages, etc, profit £779 13s 1d. Dividend of £3 15s declared.
Mr W Kearsey re-elected to the Committee after his absence from the last 3 meetings.
At a General half yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Thursday the 27^th day of October 1870

The Minutes of the Committee since the last General Assembly were read approved and confirmed.
The Several books and accounts were produced as directed by the Act of Parliament and were examined and passed.
It appears that the sum ot £1210..6..0 has been received from the 1^st day of April to the 1^st day of October part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages Disbursements, etc, and there remains in the hands of the Treasurer the sum of £779..13..1 after paying the last Dividend.
Ordered that a Dividend of £3..15..0 on each share be declared payable on the 1^st day of November next, free on income Tax,
Resolved that M^r W W Kearsey, whose absence from the past three meetings of the Committee has disqualified him from being a Committee man, be re-elected as such.
