General Half Yearly Meeting. Tonnage since 1 April £1317 15s 6d. After wages, etc, profit £891 13s 1d. Dividend of £4 5s declared.
Mr Croome and Mr C H Fisher re-elected members of the Committee, they having both ceased to be members due to consecutive absences from three meetings.
A donation of £5 in aid of extra school accommodation in the Parish of Painswick, at Stroud end, given by the Company.
At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Wallbridge on Thursday the 26^th day of October 1871

The Minutes of the Committee since the last General Assembly were read, approved, and confirmed.
The several books and accounts were produced as directed by Act of Parliament and were examined and passed.
It appears that the sum of £1317..15..9 has been received from the 1^st day of April, to the 1^st day of October: part of which has been applied towards the payment of Wages, Disbursements, etc, and there remains in the hands of the Treasurer, the sum of £891..13..1 after paying the last Dividend.
Ordered that a Dividend of £4..5..- on each share, be declared payable on the 1^st day of November next, free of Income Tax.
Ordered & resolved that M^r T C Croome & M^r C H Fisher be re-elected members of the Committee, they have both ceased to belong to the board by reason of three consecutive absences from the Committee Meetings.
Resolved that a donation of £5 in aid of extra School accomodation in the Parish of Painswick (viz at Stroud-road) be given by the Company & be paid to M^r T C Croome, who has made application for the same.
