John Samuel Bowles claimed shares no.140, will of Thomas Bowles.
Permission granted to Mr Esaias Woore of Saul, and Mr B Gardiner of the same place, to draw out on the banks of the canal, vessels for the purpose of repairs, as they have done heretofore, in the terms of the former paying from the 25 March last £5 pa, and of the latter payment of £10 pa, until the permission be withdrawn.
Mr Savage granted permission to place curb stones in the course of the arch of the canal bridge at Ryeford.

Present: M^r J C Hallewell, M^r G H A Beard Chairman, S Phipps, W W Kearsey, J T Fisher, T C Croome.
The various accounts Books and vouchers signed by M^r Coley the Auditor and certified to be correct were produced examined and passed.
The Treasurer's Book was produced examined and signed.
M^r Thomas Myers Croome attended on behalf of John Samuel Bowles of Wilton Hill near Abingdon in the County of Berks Regina who is (?) the trustee of the Will of the late Reverend Edward Mansfield and who with the Reverend William Mansfield was appointed as such trustee jointly with the Rev^d Jeremiah Smith in lieu of Thomas Bowles deceased by a decree of the Court of Chancery dated the 17^th day of March 1848 and made out the claim of the said John Samuel Bowles to the share No 140 of the undertaking of this navigation and now standing in the name of Thomas Bowles and the said Jeremiah Smith by producing the documents relating to the said share and the Ticket of Title of the said share and the claim was admitted and a new Ticket was ordered to be made out.
It was resolved that permission be granted to M^r Esaias Woore of Saul, & M^r B Gardiner of the same place, to draw out in the banks of the Canal, Vessels for the purpose of repairs, as they have done heretofore, on the terms of the former paying from the 25^th of March last at the rate of £5 per annum & of the latter paying at the rate of £10 per annum from the same date until the permission be withdrawn.
A letter from M^r Savage was read asking for permission to place curb stones in the crown of the arch of the Canal Bridge at Ryeford and it was resolved that it was not desirable to grant the same.
