A letter from Mr Little to Mr Kearsey on behalf of the Stratford Flour Mill Co declined to pay the account due. The committee decided to enforce the payment.
Ford Bros account was again brought forward. Clerk directed to send a letter saying that as you prefer paying ordinary rates carrying flour free to the extent of wheat brought up to paying 6d per ton all round, the Committee decide to fall back on that arrangement.

[38] A letter form Mr Little to Mr Kearsey on behalf of the Stratford Flour Mill Co Limtd was submitted, declining to pay the a/c due to this Co for tonnage, and the Clerk was directed to see Mr Kearsy and inform him, that the Committee have decided to enforce the payment, and request that he take the necessary proceedings to recover the same.
[38] The question of Messrs Ford Bros tonnages was again brought Forward, and the Clerk was directed to forward the following letter to them (viz):
D^r Sirs,
Yours of the 29^th Jany to hand, which was duly laid before the Committee and in answer to the same I am directed to state that they cannot see their way to adopt your alternative proposals, and therefore, as you prefer paying ordinary rates, carrying flour free to the extent of wheat brought up, to paying 6^d per ton all round, the Committee decide to fall back on that arrangement.
