With reference of the laying down of sewage pipes by the Stroud Board of Health, they are unable to pay rent but they had the power to lay down the pipe in perpetuity on payment of compensation for damage done. The Committee will waive any rent in consideration of the benefit which the public will derive from the sewerage.
Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge at 12,o,clock on Thursday the 19^th day of June 1873

[34] The usual Stoppage of the Towing path took place from the 13^th to the 17^th June agreeably with the Resolution of the 15^th May 1873.
[7] With reference to the proposed laying down of the Sewage pipe by the Stroud Local Board of Health, referred to at the Meeting of 24^th April last, the Chairman of the Stroud Local Board of Health stated that there was a difficulty in the way of paying rent by the Board, and it appearing that the Board of Health had the power to lay down the pipe in perpetuity on payment of compensation for damage done.
Resolved that providing the work be done as mentioned in the Resolution of the before mentioned meeting, and the Board of Health pay such expenses as the Surveyor of this Co shall view in watching the work on behalf of this Co the Committee will wave any rent in consideration of the benefit which the public will derive from the Sewerage.
