Summary

Notice was received from Mr William Roberts stating his intention to leave the house and wharf now occupied by him at Eastington. The Clerk was directed to write to him accepting the terms of the notice as to the termination of the tenancy on the 29 September 1873.
The Clerk was directed to see Mr Knee in reference to the rough state of the wharf and inform him that the Committee wish him to have the same cleaned up and also to keep the dung heap in better order and not allow his tenants to deposit their ashes on the same.
Mr James Bishop accepted as tenant for the house at Downfield at an annual rent of £11 and that the Clerk give Mr Kearsey the particulars necessary for him to prepare an agreement for signature.
A letter was read from F N Purnell of Stancombe Park and one from L Gower of Saul in reference to the erection of spouting to their cottages at Framilode. Clerk instructed to write to them and state that the Committee thought it requisite that the same should be put up.

Committee Meeting at Wallbridge on Thursday the 21^st August 1873, at 12,o,clock noon
Present: M^r G H A Beard Chairman, M^r S Phipps, M^r C H Hooper, M^r J T Fisher, M^r T Marling, M^r E C Little.
[25] A Notice was received from M^r William Roberts stating his intention to leave the House & Wharf now occupied by him at Eastington.
Copy of Notice
To The Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation Co.
I hereby give you notice that I shall quit and deliver up to you on the 29^th of September next the peaceable possession of the house and premises situate at Eastington in the County of Gloucester which I now rent or hold of your, and failing your consent to relieve me of my tenancy at that time, I give you notice that I shall give you possession of the said premised on the 25^th day of March next.

[5] A letter was read from F M Purnell Stancombe Park, and one from L Gower Lane, in reference to the erection of spouting to their Cottages at Framilode (as per min 17^th July 1873).
The Clerk was instructed to write to them and state that the Committee thought it requisite that the same should be put up.
