Annual inspection of the canal in boat.
A new roof is to be put on two cottages at Dudbridge occupied by William Clark, the lock keeper, and Mr James Copner. Surveyor to purchase materials and have work done in the Spring.
A dwarf wall to be built on Dudbridge wharf commencing near Mr Ward’s house and terminating near the crane, to run parallel with the canal 8ft 6ins from the water’s edge and the towing path to be levelled.
New swing bridge made and put up at Whitminster Lock.
Purchase of stone to make a road for Mr U Godsell at Bristol Road and also to give him some wharf accommodation.
Committee Meeting held on board the Survey Boat on Thursday the 3^rd day of September 1874
Present: Mr G H A Beard Chairmna, Mr E C Little, Mr J T Fisher, Mr S Phipps, Mr C H Hooper.
[5] Ordered that a new roof be put on the two Cottages at Dudbridge occupied by W^m Clark the Lock Keeper and Mr James Copner. The Surveyor was instructed to purchase materials and have the work done in the spring.
[42] Ordered that a dwarf wall be built on Dudbridge Wharf commencing from Mr Ward's house and terminating near the Crane, to run parallel with the Canal 8'-6" from the waters edge & the towing path to be levelled.
[4] The Surveyor was directed to have a new Swing Bridge made and put up at Whitminster Lock & to purchase all materials necessary for the completion of the same.
[42] The Surveyor was ordered to purchase some stone and make a road for Mr U Godsell at Bristol Road, and also to give him some wharf accommodation.
