Committee Meeting held at Wallbrdige on Thursday the 17^th day of December 1874 at 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr G H A Beard Chairman, Mr J T Fisher, Mr S Phipps, Mr E C Little, Major Fisher, Mr J T Stanton, Mr T M Croome, Mr T Marling, Mr W W Kearsey.
[32] Frederick Eycott Esqr of Oakfieldsm Near Stonehouse in the County of Gloucester attended on behalf of, and under a written authority from Charles Jacomb of 33 Margate Street in the City of London Woolbroker, The Reverend John Wool of old Wolverton, Bucks, Clerk in Holy Orders, & Sir Henry Charles Barnston Danbury of 36 Elraston place, South Kensignton, Major General in Her Majesty's Army, which said Charles Jacomb is Executor of the will of Charles Jacomb late of No 2 Upper Clapton, deceased, and which said Charles Jacombe, John Wood and Sir Henry Charles Barnston Danbury (in the will after mentions, called Charles Henry Barnston Danbury) are Executors of the will of Catherine Elizabeth Jacomb, formerly of Upper Clapton aforesaid, but late of Mo 3 Stanhope Terrace, South Kensington Widow, deceased (who died on the 26^th day of June 1874 and whose will was proved by her three Executors before named in the Principal Registry of Her Majesty's Court of Probate on the 10^th day of August 1874) and made out the Claim of the said Charles Jacomb, John Wood and Henry Charles Barnston Danbury to share No 135 of the undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation lately belonging to and now standing in the name of the said Catherine Elizabeth Jacomb, deceased by producing the probate of the will of the said Catherine Elizabeth Jacomb, and also producing the original ticket or title to the said share; and the claim was admitted and a new ticket orderd to be made out accordingly.
[32] Thomas Myers Croome, Gentleman, of Cain's Cross, Nr Stroud in the County of Gloucester attended on behalf of and under a written authority from Caroline Harris Spinster of 15 Macaulay Buildings Bath in the County of Somerset, Sole adminstratrix with the will annexted to the Will of Eliza Harris late of 15 Macaulay Buildings Bath, deceased, who died on the 24^th day of July 1874 (Letters of administration with the will annexed were granted to the said administratrix Caroline Harris by the District Registry of Her Majesty's Court of Probate at Bristol on the 7^th day of September 1874) and made out the claim of the said administratrix Caroline Harris to one share numbered 55 in the undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation lately belonging to and now standing in the name of the said Eliza Harris, deceased, by producing the administration with the Will annexed of the said Eliza Harris, and also be producing the original ticket or title to the said share; and the claim was admitted, and a new ticket ordered to be made out accordingly.
[5] A letter was read by the Chairman received by him from H Fallows the Foreman at Eastington, applying for an increase in wages:-
Resolved that his wages be increased from £1..5..0 to £1..10..0 per week commencing on Monday the 4^th day of January 1875.
