Summary

Mr Beard Chairman for the next year.
Joseph Butt was summoned before the magistrates at Whitminster on the 13 May and fined £1 and 15s costs or in default of payment one months imprisonment. (25s paid)
Clerk reported that Messrs Davies & Sons had been having small coal by railway and carted through the canal wharf at Stonehouse, resolved that a bill be sent to them charging 3d per ton for the same.
Tonnage on Benzoline and petroleum be advanced to 2s per ton.
Mr Knee to be charged 3d per ton for all coal and other goods that he brings on the canal wharf at Wallbridge that come by railway which he could get by canal.
Special meeting to be held to consider the position of this navigation in relation to the T&S Canal.
Clerk reported that David Dangerfield, captain of the barge Nellie, did on the 11 May strap the barge to the hand rail of the top gate at the Dock Lock, Eastington. The clerk was directed to write to him and give him a caution and state that any future case will be dealt with in another way.
Minute from the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal Co relating to the half dues to be charged upon all goods to and from that canal to the Stroudwater .
Clerk reported that a quantity of rubbish had been washed off a field into the canal near Westfield Bridge through a drain being out of order. Clerk to write to the owner of the field, Mr Bengough.

Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Thursday the 20^th day of May 1875 at 3,o,clock pm
Present: Mr G H A Beard Chairman, Mr E C Little, Mr J T Fisher, Mr J T Stanton, Mr S Phipps, Mr T Marling, Mr T M Croome.
It was Resolved unanamously that Mr Beard be the Chairman for the ensuing year.
[11] The Clerk reported that Joseph Butt was summoned before the Magistrates at Whitminster on the 13^th inst and fined £1 and 15/- costs, or in default of payment one months imprisonment. ("25/- paid").
[42] The Clerk reported that Messrs Davies & Sons has been having small coal by Railway and carted through the Canal Wharf at Stonehouse. Resolved that a bill be sent them charging 3^d per ton for the same.
[28] Resolved that from this date the rate of tonnage on Benzoline and petroleum be advanced to 2/- per ton and that Notice be given to the Traders of such advance.
Resolved that Mr Knee be charged 3^d per ton for all coal and other goods he brings to the Canal Wharf at Wallbridge that come by Railway which he could get by Canal and the Clerk was directed to inform him.
Resolved that a Special Meeting be held on Thursday the 3^rd June to consider the position of this Navigation in relation to the Thames and Severn Navigation.

[38] The Clerk produced a Minute received from the Gloucester & Berkley Canal Company relating to the Half dues to be charged upon all goods to and from that Canal to the Stroudwater Canal & he was directed to bring the same forward at the next Committee Meeting.

Resolved that the Clerk put the matter into the hands of Mr Kearsey requesting him to write to Mr Bengough the owner of the Field in question.
