Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Thursday the 20^th day of April 17=876 at 3,o,clock pm
Present: M^r G H A Beard Chairman, M^r C H Hooper, M^r W W Kearsey, M^r J T Fisher, M^r E C Little, M^r S Phipps, M^r T M Croome.
The various accounts, books and vouchers signed by M^r W^m Coley the Auditor and certified to be correct were produced, examined and passed.
The Treasurers book was produced examined and signed.
[32] M^r C H Stanton of 65 Redclife Gardens, London, attended as sole executor of the Will of Mrs Martha Stanton Widow of Upfield near Stroud in the County of Gloucester deceased, who died on the ninth day of January 1876, and made out his claim to three shares No 2, No 137 and No 186 of the undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation and now standing in the name of the said Martha Stanton deceased in the books of the said Company of Proprietors, by producing the Probate of the will of the said Martha Stanton, deceased, bearing date the 24^th day of February 1867 and proved in the Principal Registry of Her Majesty's Court of Justice, Probate Division, on the 24^th day of January 1876, and the claim was admitted accordingly and new tickets ordered to be made out on the tickets or titles of the said Mrs Martha Stanton deceased being delivered up.
Ordered that a new Washhouse be built at Downfield.
Ordered that one mud boat be replanked.
Ordered that 3 extra men be put on for 3 months for mudding.
