Summary

John Addinell Bromet and Benjamin Bubb claimed share nos.7,62,63,64,120,146, the will of Rebecca Capel.
Mr G Ford made an application for a reduction of 2d per ton on all wheat brought up the canal to Ryeford from Avonmouth Docks and Bristol and transferred to the railway at Ryeford to be sent to the Midland Counties. The Company could not entertain his application.
The question as to the purchase of the weighing machine and office on Wallbridge Wharf belonging to Mrs Knee having been discussed, it was decided that the same should be valued as to it’s worth now standing and it’s value taken up and the difference divided. The sum of £17 4 .0d having been expended in repairs to the Ship Inn, that sum to be deducted from the amount and the balance to be paid over to the executors of the late William Knee. Mr Beard and Mr Stanton to arrange.

Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Thursday the 15^th day of November 1877 @ 3.0.clock pm
Present: Mr G H A Beard Chairman, Mr J T Stanton, Mr T Marling, Mr E C Little, Mr T M Croome, Mr J T Fisher, Major Fisher.
[32] Mr William James Snape, Clerk to the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation attended on behalf of and under a written authority from John Addinell Bromet of Tadcaster Yorkshire Esquire and Benjamin Bull of Cheltenham Solicitor, being executors under the Will of the late Rebecca Capel, late of No 10 Promenade Cheltenham, in the County of Gloucester Widow (who died on the 26^th day of September 1877) and made out their claim to six shared numbered 7, 62, 63, 64, 120 and 146 of the Undertaking of the Stroudwater Navigation and now standing in the name of the said Rebecca Capel deceased in the Books of the said Company of Proprietors, by producing the probate of the will of the said Rebecca Capel deceased bearing date the 13^th day of November 1876, and proved in the District Registry attached to the Probate Division of Her Majestys High Court of Justice at Gloucester on the 26^th day of October 1877.
And the claim was admitted accordingly and new tickets ordered to be made out on the tickets or titles of the said Rebecca Capel deceased being delivered up.
[38] An application having been made by Mr G Ford for a reduction of 2^d per ton on all wheat brought up the Canal to Ryeford from Avonmouth Docks and Bristol and transferred to the Railway at Ryeford, to be sent to the Midland Counties.
The matter was considered, and the Clerk was instructed to write to Mr Ford and inform him that the Company could not entertain his application.
The question as to the purchase of the weighing machine & office on Wallbridge Wharf, belonging to Mrs Knee, having been discussed, it was decided that the same should be values as to its worth now standing than the value taken up, and the difference divided. The matter was left in the hands of Mr Beard, Mr Stanton and the Clerk to arrange.
