Summary

Special Meeting. Considering the unjust and injurious operation upon the Canal of the clauses of the Thames & Severn Canal Act in reference to rates charged for traffic passing through this Canal and entering that Canal, the Solicitor is instructed to take steps to oppose the Bill becoming law.
Seal of Company to be affixed to a petition to Parliament against the passing of the said Bill into Law.

At a Special Meeting of the Committee held at Wallbridge on Thursday the 6^th day of February 1879 @ 3,o.clock pm to consider the Railway and Canal Bills (now before Parliament) effecting this Navigation
Present: Mr G H A Beard Chairman, Mr J T Stanton, Major Fisher, Mr S Phipps, Mr T Marling, Mr E C Little, Mr T M Croome.
[52] Resolved that considering the unjust and injurious operation upon this Canal of the present clauses of the Thames & Severn Canal Act in reference to rates charged for traffic passing through this Canal and entering that Canal, which the Bill now before Parliament for the transfer of the Thames and Severn Canal to a new Company proposes to perpetuate, the Solicitor of this Company be instructed to take steps to oppose the bill becoming law.
[33] And Resolved, also that the Seal of this Company be affixed to a petition to Parliament against the passing of said Bill into law.
